Big Hail causes Big Mess in Wylie, TX
On April 11, 2016, a severe storm that produced softball-sized hail damaged about 15,000 homes in Wylie, TX. Several local SERVPROs, including SERVPRO of Northwest Fort Worth, answered the call for help and rushed to assist as many customers as possible. The hail created multiple large holes in people's roofs and rain quickly saturated attics and seeped down to levels below causing damage to drywall, wood, and flooring. Temporary roof repairs were made to stop anymore water from entering the homes. Water was extracted from flooring and drying equipment such as dehumidifiers and air movers were used to quickly begin restoring customer's homes.
